Estudiantes La Plata 2001/02 Away Football Shirt Mitre [M]

Original Estudiantes La Plata away shirt from the 2001/02 season.
Made by Mitre.
A rare collector's item from South America. The Parmalat logo on the chest is an icon of sports marketing at the turn of the century. Back then, the Italian dairy giant sponsored only a select few legendary clubs (including Parma and Palmeiras). South American versions of shirts with this sponsor are highly sought after on the European market today.
The 2001/02 season carried a huge emotional weight for the club. The squad at the time included the hugely combative, fan-favourite defender Edgardo "El Ruso" Prátola, who was ending his career while battling a serious illness and died in early 2002. For fans of "Los Pincharratas", shirts from this period are a symbol of that moving fight and of the memory of the player.
Very good condition.
